Mrs Pan and I are booked to try yogalates on Sunday which is a cross breed with Pilates.
What sort of clothing is advised - is it big and loose? Mrs Pan will not wear anything tight or revealing I front of strangers so I am keen to avoid any such obstacle on Sunday.

Also do we wear socks or not please? Any other advice appreciate. Tia

I do both, with yoga I go barefoot but Aldi sell some yoga socks if you would prefer something on your feet.
Leggings and a close fitting top, you don’t want a big tape around the boob area.
Also, farting is common so be prepared!!

No socks. Bad form, at least where I do yoga.

You don't really want a baggy top as there will be poses when you're bending down when everything would be on show if you were wearing a baggy top.

I wear a vest and leggings.

I wear tracksuit bottoms (wide leg) and a comfortable stretchy wrap top. I go barefoot but at my class there is a mix of barefoot and socks. Mix of trainer socks and just normal plain socks.

Mostly yoga people are very relaxed and it would be very un yoga to be critical about anyone’s clothes so honestly anything goes.

I wear leggings and a vest top, which is what most women wear in my class. They aren't special yoga clothes, they're my old running clothes! The men mostly wear generic sports gear - shorts and t-shirts, generally.

I wear socks with grippy bottoms at this time of year because I have terrible circulation and my toes turn blue. Nobody likes to see that. Grin I prefer bare feet though, ideally.

Basically select something you think will be non-restrictive and comfortable, then bend right over, do lunges, sit cross-legged etc, and check you don't flash anyone or cut off your circulation! Smile

If she doesn't want anything tight, then joggers, vest (to cover stomach etc in some poses) and a baggy top

Also no socks!
