Yoga retreat – sharing a room?

I'd really love to go on a yoga retreat but what is putting me off is sharing a room! Do you have to share a room and is it seen as bad etiquette/anti-social if you don't? It's because of a health condition, not because I'm too snobby to share!

IME, you're usually given a choice, and can pay a bit more for your own room.

The last two I'very been on, I said I'd share, but ended up in a room on my own anyway. When I have shared, it's not been a problem - had some lovely room mates. Bit then I still sometimes stay in hostels when I travel alone, in shared dorms.

No one will mind if you don't want to share. Some people go on retreat to get time alone, and will spend time away from others so they can meditate or just think. Others are more sociable, and I have never been on a retreat where people's choices haven't been respected in that way.

Not wanting to share a bedroom with another adult is not snobby surely?

I wouldn’t want to. If money situation meant I couldn’t afford not to then it would have to go Into the balance.
