I think Argentina are overrated and rely heavily on one player.

I don’t think France were overrated, they just came up against a good and well organised team, especially defensively.

Rodri and Cucarella were titans.

Cucarella is going to boss Real Madrid; one of Mourinho’s first signings as manager and Chelsea’s loss.

The top four seeds got into the semi finals. France 1
Argentina 2
Spain 3
England 4.

There's little difference between them apart from previous world cup trophies. Spain beat France.

No you're right to mention it. Certainly Spain played last night like no one seeds. Let's hope Argentina don't continue the trend.

Bad for the fans though. When England v Mexico I said if loose we have lost well. We couldn't have done more . It's very sad when the team looses so badly

If I was in the aegentina team I certainly wouldn't want to be facing England we are not as solid and constant as spain but we are sparky and unpredictable.

Did you watch the excruciating 2014 semi where Germany thrashed Brazil 7-1? That was car crash TV. I watched open-mouthed through my fingers.

What will be will be. Someone has to lose and as long as it’s a fair game and no nasty tricks, it is what it is. I’m never hopeful when it comes to England. Too many disappointing results and they don’t often make it easy either.
There’s always the Euros and that’ll spin round!
Id love England to win a major tournament, but it’s not easy and Argentina are good and Spain are even better.

I just want it to be entertaining like the Mexico match, not boring or sloppy

I really hope that tonight's match isn't full of Argentinian histrionics and we get a good game.

Hope England wins but if they don't I hope its a great match and both teams play well. Nobody can ask for any more. There's only about a dozen countries that have have ever won the world cup and England is one of them.

I agree with a PP - I would hate for us to lose against Argentina. But we do get through to the final and lose to Spain, I can live with that.

The final showtime thing , why can’t they do it first and if bbc and itv are not showing it , it’ll mean more chit chat!
