Fuck that. It's the World Cup. You are allowed. Anyone who thinks this in the middle of the WC is completely batshit in their own right and not worth listening.

Normal people don't have to prove their political allegiances whilst waving a flag for a month.

I can't stand Reform, however I have an England flag in the drawer which I've had 20 years. It's been to Australia with me for the Rugby World Cup there when we won. It is brought out at appropriate times before tears and being put away again.

The Dutch flags are back in the drawer but 2 England flags are still up.

They look very different to the tatty lamppost ones.

I’m going to stay up for the USA v Belgium match 🙈

My plan is to watch both, I may fall asleep or watch the US one in bed.

The mean-spirited person in me would like to see 🇺🇸 well and truly trounced by 🇧🇪 but the more reasonable football fan in me hopes for an exciting, incident-free game. (With Belgium still winning obvs 😂)

I think mine is also a dislike of Ronaldo and the whole winking debarcle too. Which I know is a bit silly , but I do bear a grudge and he seems insufferable and big headed and a sleaze, but I’m sure the rest of his team are alright.

I need my sleep too much to watch either of these games. And I could care less about USA. One of my American friend’s husband’s and his yank mates are being insufferable with how much he thinks he knows about soccer on FB.

I used to think like that about Ronaldo until I saw the charity work he did and his interactions with kids. Rape accusations? Who knows and if I thought he was guilty I wouldn't give him the time of day. I LIke humble footballers, like Jack Grealish for the work they do behind the scenes. Big headed spenders on the outside are these footballers but I cut through the noise.

I hope the USA lose big time as well.
