I've got an interview for a teaching job on Monday, I have all the right skills experience but don't know how to sell myself without sounding a fool. Help!

It's really hard to 'sell' your own skills. It's a very British trait (assuming you are!)

Before you go to the interview, run through your CV and imagine it was your best mate's instead. You'd really talk them up and draw out all the best points, wouldn't you? Now do it for yourself! Good luck

Just bite the bullet and do it!

Take a few key phrases from the job description and use them. Practice saying: 'I have a proven track record of X', 'I have excellent experience of Y' and back up with brief examples. Can you get someone to practice with you today? If you've said it a few times to a friendly face it feels less moronic when you have to say it for real.

You can do it!

HR Manager friend of mine told me that the people who she likes are the ones who talk really enthusiastically about aspects of the job... I really love children and get a lot of satisfaction seeing them develop throughout the year...

If it's the right job for you, you'll get it, so just relax and don't worry about it.

Thanks everyone, great advice, just what I needed, will practice saying how good I am attempting not to cringe.
