Returning to work after pregnancy related sickness

If I return at the end of my current sick note can I request any alterations to my work in light of my pregnancy?

My concerns are the late nights ( up til 8pm ) and the heat in my office. I know it gets very hot in there usually and we have portable air con/fans etc but tbh they don't do much. I saw minutes from a meeting whilst I have been off that referenced 90degrees. I have been off with blood pressure and medication problems which are exasperated by the heat and I tend to pass out.

I had a risk assessment done at about 8 weeksand there is a team one both of which would support my requests.

Am I entitled to a meeting with my supervisor prior to/ immediately on my return to clarify these as soon as possible? My manager is currently off and the issues would probably have to be ran past someone more senior for them to have any impact.

I am looking at potentially 6 weeks work before taking leave and then maternity leave althoughthis hasn't been confirmed with anyone yet( I have until 10 July)

thanks in advance!

Did the GP not put 'work-place adaptations' on your Fit Note?
Are you getting paid to be off? If so, I'd think your employer would be eager to adapt things for you. But I don't know - hope someone more useful is along for you soon!

Still got 3 weeks left , just planning ahead! If I want to meet with my supervisor before I will have to plan at least a week before to get hold of her!

Sm on full pay for another week then half pay hence me being keen to get back as soon as I feel better.

Will get GP to put something about the hours but no sure what they can recommend regarding the heat.
I'm wondering about a phased return but not sure how it works working p/t other than making my full days shorter.

Nymph As far as I was aware (only through my own work knowledge) if you speak to your Doctor they can put stuff about your working conditions on your fit note. I would also ask for another risk assessment as well for when you go back the risks to you will have changed somewhat. Do you have an Occy health bit that you can speak to before you go back at all?

Make sure you raise your concerns with your Doc and hopefully they can be implemented when you go back. I think in legal busy body terms, they are supposed to make reasonable adjustments for you to return to work.

This is something I found on google from the HSE, I don't know if it's useful or not. From what I read, its just sort of guidelines but given who you work for they probably adhere to HSE practices as a standard.

Must have occy health but no idea where to find them.

Boss phoned last night ( off sick herself) cos shed seen some of my team who had said I was still off. She was worried about me(us). She will be returning just after me ( probably) and suggested dropping the more active parts of my job & working shorter days.

Didn't mention the heat other than the few hot days had made it worse. Will have to raise that with my supervisor but I think there is a limit to how much they can do about that other than moving offices.
