Barefoot Books Ambassador - anyone do this from home?

I have been looking at the Barefoot Books website and saw that they are looking for people to sell their books.

Anyone done this?

Not sure if it would be feasible doing it from Switzerland, but there are a lot of people looking for English books here so perhaps.

Barefoor books are fabulous and always have a bit extra in them. I don't sell them but am enthusiastic about then from the books of theirs we have.

Hello MmeLindt

Sorry - don;t know about Barefoot Books, but do know about Usborne Books, which are also HUGE on the continent and there are lots of very successful Organisers, making lots of money! Email me if you'd like to know more: [email protected]

Thanks for the info, will look into both.

I know that there is a lady here who does Usborne books and we have a very limited customer base.

Usborne annoy me as they use American English, Barefoot books aren't cheap either but I'm guessing, living where you do, that's not really an issue!!

MrsCMAW · 11/03/2010 20:17

posieparkerfuckityfuck - can you give a specific example of American English being used? I'm an Usborne Organiser and I've never noticed it (and I'm a stickler for that sort of thing). I'd be happy to pass on your feedback if there's something specific?

posieparkerfuckityfuck · 12/03/2010 10:39

I had a book about some piglets and a Mommy cow. Can't really remember....the illustrations were as if the animal were made of felt...and it was opposites...something like wild geese, cats....erm erm.

MrsCMAW · 12/03/2010 10:55

Could it have been an American copy? Usborne do have a big presence in the US and I assume they do US versions with Mommy instead of Mummy etc.

MrsCMAW · 12/03/2010 10:55

P.S. Sorry to hijack thread!

posieparkerfuckityfuck · 12/03/2010 13:26

I'm sorry for causing you such grief! Seems like I had an American copy then, bought 7ish years ago from an Arty shop, so may well have got them in from across the pond!

WheresMyWaistGone · 12/03/2010 22:13

MrsCMAW won't mind!

We Usborners are a bit loopy about our books - once you get the bug, you get rather protective as they're so scrummy!

MrsCMAW · 12/03/2010 23:46

I can't deny it! They're an addiction!

posieparkerfuckityfuck · 13/03/2010 08:04

that's very sweet.

Hi, I sell barefoot books and crazy about them, my background is actually as a children's librarian and thinly barefoot is some of most unusual, beautiful and multicultural books out there. If you are interested or would like to find out more email me on [email protected] or message me I'd be very happy to chat.
