I have an iphone. I have outlook BCM. I have a laptop. I have purchased software to make BCM synch with iphone. Having tried to do it all myself, I now have a phone with NO NAFFING CONTACTS LEFT IN IT WHATSOEVER.

Please wise freelancers, instruct me to now step away from it and get professional help for this IT ishoo.

I've been trying to make this work for 4 hours, and would normally have been working hard and earning enough money to surely cover the cost of someone else doing this?

I just don't want to spend my £££ on this sort of thing, I am stamping my feet and want to do it myself. But I have to admit defeat don't I? And think of my sanity? And the wellbeing of my business, which could go under from lack of attention if I spend months fannying about with this.

Instruct me, and tell me that you have these scenarios too, and what you do that's practical with them

Cheers, From She Who Wants To Put Her Phone Through The Window

I'm afraid it sounds as though you are being too ambitious.

I don't know about these bits of gear (I have a basic setup of laptop, printer, non-internet phone, skype), but can recommend the Geek Squad. I had a very useful man come round and re-partition my hard drive, after I had started to run out of space on the "C" drive (whereas the "D" drive, which I originally set up to be the backup, was gigs and gigs bigger). I am relatively handy with IT (although, again, I think not being too ambitious does help), but this was weeeell beyond me.

Anyway, this Geek Squad person sorted me out, and was even even-handed on the PC-versus-Mac question when I asked, out of curiosity. As you have an iphone, that might reassure you?

It's not cheap (well, I had to have him come round, but there are things you can do over the phone), but if you are losing money with your time, it might be worth it, as you can expense it, too! www.geeksquad.co.uk.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

I'm also with Geek Squad. Altho rather than signing up online you might want to call them and check first that they have a rep who covers your area, so if you need a home visit you don't have to wait too long.

regarding the iPhone - you might want to ask in the Geeky Stuff area, simply because many problems seem to have already been seen by someone, somewhere, over there.
