I'm a SAHM to two girls under three, and planning on getting married this summer, so thought I'd start doing one of these work from home jobs. I did Ann Summers a couple of years back and loved it (I was pretty successful too - was more often than not the highest earner in my team which was one of the biggest) but that involved too much going out at night as well as most of my parties being students and I now don't live in a studenty area.

So, I'm a good seller, don't want to do too much out of the house in the evenings, don't want to have to "invest" very much money, don't have my own transport (although have good public transport) but have loads of spare time at home in the evenings.

Any ideas? A friend has just started doing Usbourne books, so I'm looking into that, any reports from anyone who has done it? We already have an Avon lady both in our street and at DPs work so that wouldn't be too great. Any other ideas, or good websites to look jobs up on?

Virgin vie make up?
Pampered chef?

2madboys · 24/01/2010 20:39

ButterPie

Usborne books is great fun and you can do as much as you wnat, when you want.

Costs £20.10 to join right now!

Email me [email protected] and I'll send you more info, though I guss yu can get it from your friend.

Loads of free books for your children too!!! And you can take them with you to toddler groups etc!

AnnieBeansMum · 28/01/2010 12:05

WheresMyWaistGone - are you able to make decent money with Usborne?? DH, DD and I are emigrating in June and I need something like this or a second job (part time in the evenings).

clumsymum · 28/01/2010 12:10

I don't know anything at all about it, but you could look at Jamie at home

2madboys · 28/01/2010 12:23

Hi Annie - where are you emigrating to? Phoenix operate in the US, Australia, New Zealand and France if that's relevant.

AnnieBeansMum · 28/01/2010 12:29

Canada - provided I can make a little bit of extra money between now and then.

WheresMyWaistGone · 08/02/2010 14:05

Annies Mum

Sorry for my delay!

Yes you can make good money at Usborne. The books sell themsleves, so as long as you can get them in front of people, you won't have a problem!

AND you can take your business to Canada, so you'll have a good reason to get out to toddler groups etc and meet people!

Let me know if you want any more info!
