Help me work from home when heavily pregnant!

I am 36 weeks pregnant and a freelance consultant. I still have some projects I need to finish off before the baby gets here and luckily they can all be done from home but the trouble is I am just so uncomfortable sitting at my desk and really not in the mood to work but then am sooo bored and thinking another 4-6 weeks of being stuck at home will send me loopy so work will help keep me sane!
(I can waddle out and about a little bit but can't really drive any more and get very tried and achy and grumpy very quickly!).

Can anyone help me DO SOME WORK? General asskicking or suggestions for comfy work positions gratefully received!

swiss ball to sit on...pretty comfy when you're that big and uncomfy.
also some nice comfy tracksuit bottoms & slippers will deffo help
maybe a bit of structure to your day. maybe an hours work, half an hour's lie down/coffee break/telly break/ then another hour, then lunch etc etc. set out a timetable for the day then you wont just drif through the day and end up achieving nothing.

oooh i am a lot more comfy sitting at my desk on my ball! perhaps a touch too low but the burning sensation in my ribs eases as my posture is better.

Not even dressed yet so pretty comfy maybe will waddle to get a raspberry leaf tea then start to write some lists.....

Am 34 weeks and also working from home (three days a week - I only have to lug my enormous tum to the office on the other two days) while bouncing on my ball.

My other tip is indeed to write those lists, perhaps including a couple of things you've already done so you can tick them off and feel satisfied, albeit in a self-deluded manner. Then waddle off for a cuppa to reward yourself. Works for me.

Small chunks of work definitely - don't tire yourself out, particularly as you get nearer your due date.

I didn't follow my own advice, as I was still working on my due date, which is tempting to do if you've still got projects to finish. But think about it like this.....if you were going to run the London marathon, or climb Everest, at some point in the next six weeks, and were to be given only a few hours notice before you had to start, what would you do? Get rested and prepared, or tire yourself out trying to finish projects?

I agree with slackbladder about dividing your day into chunks of work and fun stuff, but don't feel you have to stick too rigidly to your timetable. Also make sure you go outside to get some fresh air, even if it's just standing at the back door if you don't want to brave the snow!!

And do your work in whatever position feels most comfortable - lying in bed if necessary!!!

well have written my list. Now exhausted and off to watch tv for a bit with a cuppa!

Ticking off the list can start this arvo....
