Would you sign up for a craft party for adults?

I love all sorts of papercraft and would love to teach groups of mums (or groups in general) how to make beautiful christmas decorations, learn origami, scrapbooking, card making skills such as heat embossing, rubber stamping, teabag folding, decoupage etc and maybe even handmade dolls house miniatures.

Do you think it would be worth considering as a second income? Would you pay someone like me money in return for an evening craft party with a group of friends?

Does anyone know of a company that does a similar thing already?

What do you think?

DH and I went for Clevedon a few weeks ago and the endearingly shabby luxury cliff-top hotel we stayed in was hosting a 2 day event run by this organisation. Some people just came for the day and others were staying in the hotel.

They all seemed to be enjoying themselves very much - lots of chat and laughter coming from the conference room, and everyone surrounded by boxes and baskets of photos and craft stuff. Most of the women there were middle aged or older, and I noticed quite a few elderly ladies with adult daughters.

I remember thinking at the time, what a great idea for a girly weekend break, (with or without your old mum!) - learn some craft skills and meet new people

I would love it. Did something similar last week. Five of us went to this woman's studio and made clay decorations which we are going to glaze once they're cooked (or whatever it's called!) Brilliant fun - got wine and tea too

I took the plunge and sent a text to all my friends with a time and date asking just for £1 towards materials (gotta start somewhere) for the first project and I'm doing my first class for 8 in a couple of weeks!!! Very exciting! Thanks for your comments!

No, not my cup of tea, but good luck!

Not really and I am quite arty/crafty.

I would go to art classes or similar but not a craft party- would just feel like a kid.

Sorry.
