Not sure what to do.

I have worked for a certain company for just over 4 years. I did 1 year on the reception desk and then I was asked to work in the creche as well. I then got pregnant with my DS and then went back. They wouldn't give me any hours on reception when I went back after mat leave but they said I could have the creche and take my DS with me to save on childcare.
A year later I left to have my DD and returned to work 2 weeks ago.
I was told on Friday that head office have decided that we have to pay for our children in the creche now which I agreed to even though it would mean a huge cut in my wages. Today I have had a phone call from a colleague (I have today off work) to say the manager has told her that head office have decided that no member of staff are allowed to take their children in the creche, regardless of whether we pay for them or not.
They won't give a reason as to why they have decided this and I have yet to be told this in person. We have been told to hand our notices in which will mean we are classed as leaving of our own accord so we won't qualify for redundancy. I only earn £300 a month as I only work 14 hours but all my money is for bills so without it we can't afford to live.

Just not sure what to do now. The only thing I can think of is getting a full time job which will mean having the children in nursery full time which will cost us a fortune.

Sorry it's long, I'm just gutted and I don't know what to do.

Why have you been told to hand in your notice - if you don't want to work under the new terms.

This is effectively a change to terms and conditions. Sorry, I don't have masses of time, but you can read about it here. It doesn't matter if you've never had anything in writing about the childcare, years of the same arrangment is probably enough to be an unwritten contractual term.
