Freelance website for expert mums

Hi

I am an IT/technology expert looking for work from home. I have recently been managaging to get a bit of work bidding for projects via odesk, elance and peopleperhour writing white papers and website content. However I am finding it a bit frustrating -the work I want to find is a bit specialized.

It would be so much better if I did this collectively with some others.

So I registered a domain today to do this - [email protected].

Any advice or thoughts from any of you would be appreciated!

Lisa

What a brilliant name. If you want reliable advice on how to start up the business, use
the brand new website Google (and I) worked on

www.startupdonut.co.uk/

Has loads of info about all sorts on it (all free, that you would previously have had to pay for.)

I think this is a great idea, and there are plenty of freelancers around on MN who might have a view.

I'm a freelance PR/Copywriter so if you'd like any PR advice - do let me know!

My initial thoughts are that in order to be a member of "experts at home" you have to demonstrate your expertise and commit to a number of hours per week advertising and promoting the site.

There's a website called Freelancers in the UK - not sure if it's similar to what you're thinking of.
