I am applying for a job that is full time, however the employer encourages applications for job share. I am in a position where I am looking for part time or job share roles, but wondered if it would be better to apply for the job on a full time basis then ask for job share if I am lucky to get the job or ask to be considered for job share only at application stage? The job looks perfect for me and I would love to get it, I just wonder if I specify job share on my application form if I will be ruled out at the first stage if there isn't another job share applicant? Has anyone been in a similar position or can any HR people offer me any advice?
