Do I have any legal recourse if neigbour doesn't want to cut Leylandii hedge that is blocking light to two neigbouring house?

I thought that the legal minds are more likely to see this thread if I posted here.....

We are taking the diplomatic route but the early signs are that this wouldn't work.

So I they might get a slapped wrist and just remove one, which will take over the space

Diplomatic route is the one way but why not offer to shoulder the cost? It might be what's stopping them from taking action, particularly if it doesn't affect them at all

Haha, yes, I have heard of the copper nails thing, but then if the trees die and they see the nails, you'll be responsible and they'll hate you even more than they would if you legally force them to cut them down.

Either way, sounds like you have an incoming arsey neighbour situation. Good luck.

I must confess that I did go to B&Q and attempted to get some copper nails but then, like a teenager with a top shelf mag, I ditched them at the check out.

MP- is your grden south facing? Mine isn't so I cherish/savour the morning sunlight.
