I have recently started my own business called Swapzies. It's a regional swapping group where mum's and mum's to be come and exchange their items for points where they can spend at one of our swapzie events. We have things for the little one's like feeding equipment, baby clothes, toys, things for expectant mum's, for example, pregnancy books, magazines, newborn equipment and things for mum's, like on trend fashion, bags, pamper products.

The idea is that they won't have to keep spending out money on baby stuff, as mother's will know how expensive it can get. They can come to a swapzie event and get something for their little one and themselves.

I am hoping as we progress we will have one set up in every major city and be able to attract some celebrity mum donations as well as events for our members to raise money for mother and baby charaties.

I would appreciate some feedback, your thoughts and questions, and to take a peek at the website and tell me what you think. I am also considering taking this on a franchise route.

Thanka mums, appreciate all the feedback.

Interesting.

My main question is that if your kids have outgrown everything and you have decided to have "no more", you are limited in spending your points? If no-one has donated anything you like, you have in effect just given your stuff away.

How does this differ from taking things to an NCT sale and getting a % of cash sale, and buying nearly new things there that you like? These sales are HUGE in this area, with people queing for ages to get in.

Thanks for your question,
We are trying to have a range of things for people to swap, so if their kids have outgrown everything then they can use the points to get something for themselves, i.e DVD's. foot spa, we're trying to bring in some 'mum' vouchers to spa's and paid meals etc.
The aim is for people to bring uneanted things, or things that they have outgrown, and some people have no luck selling them and end up throwing them away, this is just an alternative.
Hopefully as we grow we'll get more and ore stuff in so there will be something that they like, and I try not to hold a swapzie day until we have a wide variety.

Hope this helps?!!
