To be brutally honest, as someone who has set up a business in the past year, working at home isn't the great option people think it is.
I have never worked harder or felt more exhausted than I have done since I started my business.
I find there are never enough hours in the day for all that needs doing:
family time
housework
business
Sadly something always gets put off.
Under the business mode I have to manufacture my items, photograph them, put them on my website/internet, advertise and promote, research and buy new components.
Don't get me wrong I love doing what I do, and wouldn't swap it for the world but it's mentally and physically draining, and I'm hoping that after the first year things will get 'slightly' easier.
It's half term here this week, and I've not done half the work I had planned for this week, as Dc's aren't happy sitting in all week watching me work.
Don't want to be all doom and gloom , it is possible it's just finding that 'thing' and hard work.
One of my neighbours has a very lucrative business of a laundry service, her customers drop off their washing and she washes, dries it and irons it for them, she will either deliver or they pick it up- She's very busy though- and it seems to be a 7 day week job for her.
