Redundancy pay whilst on maternity leave?

Hi, I am currently on maternity leave, due to return to work at the end of June. However, my company is making redundancies, which I would consider, as childcare is going to be a nightmare when I go back, with my older child due to start school in September. I have been there for 12 years, working part time (3 days a week) for the last 3 years. Does anyone know how much redundancy pay I would be entitled to, and if I got PILON, would it be calculeted at my full salary rather than the SMP rate?

First of all, you do get extra protection from redundancy whilst on ML.

If you are made redundant whilst on maternity leave, your employer must offer you first refusal of any suitable alternative work that is available. If there is none, they must pay you any notice and redundancy pay that you are entitled to.

According to thid, if you have been with the company for more than 2 years you are entitled to redundancy pay based on your last weeks pay BEFORE you started ML. You are also entitled to be paid for any holidays that you have accrued during ML. This will be paid pro rata as you normally work part time.
