Hi, as the title says really but also have a few other questions.

I have seen the products and they look great but is the currect recession situation affecting sales?

What do you offer to the hostess as a gift as I am not too keen on the biscuits/tea bags goodie bag.

Do you offer a prize draw/raffle for the guests at a party?

I am quite keen to do this but my DH has a few reservations so honest opinions either way good or bad would really be aprreciated.

Thanks

Direct sales can be hard work. You can make money if you put lots of effort into it. For lots of people it works well as a supplementary source of income.

I do Usborne Books and offer free books to the hostess as a gift.

I normally do a pass the parcel icebreaker with a wrapped up small box of chocs. I also give another small box of chocs to somebody if they book a party on the night/evening.

I'd never heard of Mini IQ, and I consider myself fairly well up on splurging cash on little uns. This may mean you have extra work to do getting people to participate because of the lack of brand awareness. However, having looked them up, the products do look good and if I were invited to a party I could probably lose £30 pretty easily. It's really down to how many mums you know and how much effort you can expend on networking. I'm sure if you really go for it you could make it pay, but it's not an easy option so just be totally honest with yourself about what you want to put in and get out of it.

Hi there,

A friend of mine was an associate for a year of so, but has now given it up. A lot of hard work for little reward and her take home pay was poor after she had paid out for books/tea/coffee/biscuits as host gifts. She also had to deliver all the books to guests personally which took up a huge amount of her time.

I looked at Mini IQ, Virgin Vie, and Bodyshop two years ago when I started looking into the party plan business.

I am now an Independent Consultant with The Pampered Chef. I sell good quality kitchen and tableware products. Have a look at my website www.pamperedchef.biz/georgina for some more information about the business.

I can help you get started as a Consultant and earn a decent income by working part time hours that fit around your family. If you enjoy food, cooking and girlie get ? togethers?, please contact me to find out more.

I have been a Consultant with the Pampered Chef for nearly two years. After having twins and a three year old toddler, I realised that I would be unable to return to my previous job. I started looking for a job that would fit around my family and allow me to be a full time stay at home Mum. I have to say I've found it with The Pampered Chef!!!

If you would like to chat about becoming a consultant please contact me via my website.

Hope to hear from you soon

Georgina
