Hi I'm new to this. How do I go back to work without it costing us so much in childcare fees. I've had to give in work because of the childcare fees.

there are as many answers as there are questions. what are your dc ages?Have you looked into tax credits? FWIW without knowing anything can't advise you.

Using my work's childcare voucher scheme has effectively knocked off £70 per month from our childcare bills because they are tax-deductible - is this available at your work?
Can you work from home for part of the week ? Depends on ages of your children as to how practical this is (and reallistically how much you could get done), but might help you save a day a week in childcare costs.
Childminders are usually cheaper than nurseries - is this an option?

Thanks Misunderstood and Jojo12. My kids are 5 years and 14 months. I have looked into tax credits and if you have two sets of wages coming in you barely get anything.
We did have child care vouchers as an option at work but again they didn't amount to much. I had a child minder for my eldest and she was the best. I prefer child minders to nurseries. I know these all sound like excuses but my husband and I checked all avenues we knew of but was hoping there may have been some other avenues we may not have checked.

If you work, it costs.
If you are lucky, you may earn big bucks and have a lot of money left over after childcare.
Or you may be lucky and qualify for vouchers/tax credits.
Of you may find that like many of us, you work for nothing while the kids are small.

That's how it is.
