Childcare Vouchers - Best Scheme

My employer is happy to part pay me with childcare vouchers but..... I have to do all the paperwork etc myself.

It's a very small company (only 5 employees) and nobody else is interested in them.

Does anyone have any experience as to which scheme is the easiest to set up and administer?

I know very little about them other than that they should save us some money for nursery fees, after school club and holiday care.

Any advice welcome please.

My employer has used 2 different ones - Busybees (which seems to be the most popular) and we now use Fideliti.

As an employee using the scheme, I have been much more impressed with the service from Fideliti and their website is much easier to use than the Busybees one.

Unfortunately I can't advice from an employers point of view about ease to set up etc.

I have to use Busybees, because this is the scheme my employers use,
but my childminder says that she has had trouble with them from her side of things

Do you use a nursery which is part of a chain? DS's nursery is part of the the BusyBees chain and they give a 5% discount on nursery fees if you use their vouchers as well, so it might be worth checking if your nursery has a prefered supplier.

Sodexho have been the best for me, had a few problems with Accor.

You can do our own, you don't have to use an outside agency as they will after make a charge.

You need to draw up a salary sacrifice agreement between you and your employer and a contract between the childcare provider and the employer.

Check out H.M. Revenue & Customs leaflet IR115 and the employers help book E18(2005) although these may both have been replaced by later versions now.

Try the Inland Revenue website as a starting place or ask if your employer's accountants can advise and set up the scheme leaving you to run it.
