Anyone do it? Any good?

Yes. It's OK for working around kids - it's big advantage is it is very flexible. but not a reliable source of a set amount of regular income. Also bear in mind that if you have assignments where you have to buy food/clothes etc you only get reimbursed a few weeks/months later.

The better paying jobs tend to be making enquiries at bank, the lower paying ones tend to be where you eat meals (think the theory is you're meant to be really grateful to have a "free" meal).

I do it for Grass Roots. It's very convenient and easy but assignments don't come up that often -- I've been doing it since July and have earned a grand total of £130!

mamadiva · 02/01/2009 18:50

So would you say overall it's worth it?

A what exactly does it involve.

Well, most assignments take less than 20 minutes and pay £10 so it's a pretty good hourly rate. I just do it because I'm at home with DS anyway and it gets me out of the house!

Most of the assignments I get are banks. Generally you have to go in, assess the environment, then make a query about something or other and assess the service you get.

I also do grassroots. They email you when an assignment comes up in your area. If you get to the assignment in time you can accept it and they give you all the details and a questionaire to be completed after the MS.
You then have 24hours to complete the on line form and they will pay you approx £10 about a month later.
They cover companies like Asda, PC World, Barclays, Llyods etc.

and where do you apply??? sounds ideal for me lol

TotalChaos · 02/01/2009 19:10

being observant and answering loads of questions about the shop/business environment and service you reason. So you have to read an assignment brief before you go in to prepare, and to fill out a questionnaire afterwards. You would either get e-mailed to be told assignments are available or you would select them from a list on the website.
