Hi

My money runs out in feb 09 but i dont have to go back to work till june however we live off on my mat money so i have to make some money for march and so on.

My dd will be 7 months and i feel i am just not ready to go back yet. I wouldnt mind so much in june coz she will be 11 months.

My plan was to go back part time ( have not discussed it with boss yet tho) I would have to work 20 hours a week to make up my mat money.

My sister has offered to look after her part time to save on child cost but this was months & months ago and she has since had a 4 month ds and also have 3 dds so she might change her mind now and if thats the case i am truly buggered for childcare. Also work is miles away & i dont drive so i have to pee about with bus to sisters house to drop dd off then walk 40 mins to work ( no bus route to work) So as she can get the jus of its a lot of bother.

I claim child tax credit right now but if i say i want to quit my job after mat is up does anyone know if they will increase it?

We are not intitled to working tax credit right now but if i quit my job would i be even tho dh earns £19,000 a year? ( which all goes on bills so still broke)

We live in private renting too.

Does anyone know of any good legal home working jobs or is that wishful thinking?

If anyone else is in similar situation can u help me out with some advice

thx

Sounds a bit grim. Not much advice, except that there's not a huge difference between leaving a 7 month old and leaving an 11 month old - if anything, the younger the easier (for them and you).

Sounds like you need to look at childcare options - messing about with buses just for the sake of getting to sister's house will be a nightmare - you need childcare close to home or work.

Hi have a look on entitledto.co.uk to see how much tax credit you would get on dps wage and your own if you went part time.
