That's it really. Could do with earning a bit extra doing something from home.

If anyone works for a good company please come and tell me about it!

Thanks,

Hi

I work for the RNIB and think they are a fab, I work from home, quite flexible hours, get paid an ok hourly rate for a work at home job, get lots of benefits with it being a charity and also feels worthwhile. hth

what do you do alfiemama?

alfiemama · 28/11/2008 13:32

Hi Greatfun

Im a fundraiser from home.

There are lots of Charities that do this, so maybe worth having a look on their websites, but I do know that we dont always advertise.

Thanks AM. Do you mind telling me what this involves. I had a look on the website and they have some vacancies for fund raisers from 4-9 working from home. Sounds great except I wouldn't have childcare until 6.30 when DH gets home. Will look into a way round this though.

Sorry greatfun, not been on this thread for a while.

Yeah no probs, you are allowed to work from 4-9pm and 2 hours a week during the day, and all day Sat. You are contracted for 12 or 16 hours but can get overtime upto 20 hours (I think).

I basically get given a directory and ring people asking if they will have raffle tickets, or a pennybox or maybe a small donation. Very simple really, you just have to chat about the cause, for example this campaign, we are working getting more Braile introduced into childrens textbooks so they can stay in mainstream schools.

We have catergories such as colds, never been recruited but have an interest in charity, Dormants, recruited but not done for a while, pledgers who always say yes, and actives that reg help. There are targets but aslong as you do your job they can be achieved quite easily

Hope this helps, let me know if I can help anymore.

I know how hard it is to find a job to fit in around kiddies, I tried for years

Or have a look at this company under 'The Opportunity' at the bottom, I've been doing it for a while and it's a brilliant way of making some extra cash without missing out on time with the kids.

It's completely flexible and really nice because it's all about saving people money.

Send me a mail if you'd like to find out more.

If you speak French or Spanish try www.lajolieronde.co.uk. Can work around your family, genuinely flexible and a good little earner for a few hours work

Hi Merlin,
I'm a Phoenix greeting card trader and really enjoy it. You can look at their website for info and/or CAT me.
