And have just had to explain myself to my employers daughter?!?
I am off a) because I am not well and b) ds isn't well
I am a legal cashier and I knew there was completions today so I was in a position to set the money to leave today incase I wasn't well enough to go in.
This morning I felt worse and also ds wasn't well so I have kept him home
I popped on to fb to check a couple of things and my employers daughter came on to chat saying that the he & his wife weren't happy with me (they are on holiday) and that I had said I wasn't going to come in today a few days ago.
She is 16 and hears what she wants to hear I am just cross that I had to put up with that when I am genuinly off.
I have just replied to her that I will discuss it with her dad when he is back.
I have also done some work from home today too so that things are kept up.
I have now deleted her from fb and msn and hope that I won't have to put up with too much flack when I am back and the bossmy employer gets back from holiday

When I was off sick due to awful morning sickness (the first time I had ever taken time off from that job because I felt like death) my lovely boss said to me,

"just because you are not well enough to do your job does not mean that you cannot go out and shop for food, attend ante-natal appointments etc, so don't feel like you are housebound"

Just because you are sick does not mean that you cannot type (unless you are off with a broken wrist) so I cannot see the problem with going onto your computer.

She sounds like a jumped up little madam. 16??? My god!

My employer was back today and as I thought I was spoken to about Friday. I told him how unimpressed I was to be spoken to by his daughter and I don't think he was too impressed either.
I was also spoken to about having msn on while working (it was already on the computer when I started and signed in automatically someones account) I told them I am happy to stop using it. I have just signed in (am at home as I work school hours) and the daughter is signed in
One of the secretaries was shocked that I spoke up about her but was pleased I did!

They're not paying you sick leave?? Then it's none of their business if you are on FB when you're off. And anyway, why have you friended her anyway, she sounds horrid. As do they.

I am in bed with laptop on sick leave at this very moment. MN is saving my sanity.

Get well soon xxx
