Am thinking of adding a photo to my flyers etc - any tips on how to make it a flattering one?

Also - do you reckon I should do a head and shoulders one - or a kind of 'action' shot eg me at the computer or on the phone?

or no photo at all?

Agree with Bloss, I was looking at pics of my friend on facebook and she always looks great on the pics and I noticed that she always takes pics of herself and friends from above at an angle and so I have started doing this and now I only need to delete 10% instead of 90%!! Its funny though, I was at a wedding recently and so I had me and my friends doing lots of these pics where I hold the camera and we all look up slightly and pose but then well meaning people kept saying "here give me the camera, I'll do it for you" and we had to be gracious and accept or else we would look like vain idiots!!

You can always send email it to me and I can give it a once-over in photoshop. Maybe you can give me some accounting advice nearer the time for tax returns!!

I think my CAT subscription has expired, but I can renew it if you are interested.

If you know someone with an SLR camera, use that.

Use the longest zoom setting (rather than standing close and having to zoom out).

Window light is good. Sit near the window with your back towards it at a 45 degree angle.

Turn your face back towards the light source (window) so that you get some light on the cheek furthest from the window (tip: close eye nearest window and turn your head towards the window until you get light in the other eye).

Have someone stand near you just out of camera shot on the other side holding a white towel or sheet or something to reflect some light back into the shadow side of your face.

Have the camera slightly higher than your face, and tip your chin down slightly.
