I might be going back to work soon and I will be able to have flexible hours within reason. This new place is really near me so I'll be able to get to and from home pretty quickly. I just wondered, from experience, is it better to work 8-4 and pick up dd and see her for a few hours before bed, or do a later shift, say 10-6 and spend longer with her in the morning? I'd probaby mix it up a little bit and I'm leaning towards having more time after work as I used to hate getting home late before I had a baby.
Did any of you try these hours and which did you find suited your baby best? Working full time is not ideal but I'm going to have to do it for a while if I can, my partner has lost his job and it looks like it's going to be easier for me to find a better job more quicky and we're broke! We have to change mortgage soon and we don't want to lose our flat!
