I think I might send a final detailed email and then request no further contact until I get back. Will also ensure I don't log on to my work account for the remainder of my holiday.

I also need to deal with the bullying aspects but I think I'll sort that on my return... sigh...

This happens quite often to me (and others that I work with).

I did read somewhere recently that those with blackberries, webbased emails and mobiles work a good few hours (unpaid) more than their peers each year!

in your final email, just tell them you are going away & won't be contactable, so if it's still an issue no one else can sort it will have to wait until your return (...and yes I've had to do that before...wasn't actually away either )
