What is the going rate for a 22/23 year old administrator?

I am enquiring for my friend, she's nearly 23 and has been an administrator since she was 16, how much should she expect to be earning? We live in Cheshire, so Manchester area.

Age wouldn't be relevant Emma. What's relevant is what experience she has, what her skills are and what sector she is working in.

Best way to find out local going rates is to look at ads for similar jobs locally and speak to local recruitment consultancies who recruit this type of position, and who have a good overall knowledge of market rates.

Administrating what! What Flowery said really. Also don't assume that if you have been doing something for a long time you should necessarily expect a raise.

Ooops sorry, i'm in finance myself so not entirely sure what areas administrators covers, she works for a construction company in a secretarial work, not really accounts...

Sounds like me, I was on £14,000 in the North East. But I had been in the same job since I was 16.

about 10 - 13k I'd say

Local government administrators can get anything between 12k and 16k, depending on skills and experience. Can go up to approx £24k or so if managing a team or acting as a PA.
