Lisencee for Le Club Francais or La Jolie Ronde

Hi there
Been wondering about teaching languages for years. I have an A Level in French gained many years ago and I am fluent in Spanish (also have a degree in Italian but that's another story).
Now that we've re-located to a totally different area and I've given up work, I'm seriously considering becoming a lisencee for El Club Espanol or la Jolie Ronde (specialising in Spanish).
Does anyone have any experience of either, or can tell me the difference between the 2? Is there anything I should consider/take into account before proceeding?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

My only word of advice is that schools will have to include foreign language teaching as part of the normal school curriculum in primary schools(Key satge 2) from Sep 2010 ( I think- it might be sooner) so the demand for paying extra for after school etc language clubs will probably diminish.

Also, some language teachers I know do not think that la joile ronde is very exciting to use for teaching. I think it is okay for very young children.

Im going with Jolie Ronde, I contact both and was abit dissappointed with Le Club Francais as they just sent me an email whereas Jolie Ronde called me and I had a really long chat with a girl called Chris, we were on the phone for about an hour!!! she also sent me sample teaching materials which were really, really good. Perhaps contact both and see what you think, but I just though La Jolie Ronde were abit more friendly

Susanita - did you make contact? Im definately going ahead with La Jolie Ronde, you can pay in installments as you go along which is really good

hi,
Has anyone gone ahead with either of the two companies above and if so how are they getting on? Im considering starting up a spanish club and wanted to hear from people about the pros and cons, who are allready doing this?

i joined LCF (used to be le club francais). they drove 2 hours to meet me rather than just a telephone call. LCF even called schools for me to setup my business. and have your seen their website with all that great interactive content for children? my club members get free access to it, its here www.lcfclubs.com/babelzonenew

Hi we moved for my husbands work from France middle of last year and I have started teaching with Jolie Ronde. My youngest DD is now at pre-school full time (got funding!) so I teach 3 mornings a week after Ive dropped her off and on a Saturday morning - my husband takes kids shopping and when they are back Im finished.

Cant comment on LCF but I like the materials La Jolie Ronde produce plus the support is good. When I was marketing my classes I hadnt got a clue never done anything like this before but as part of your licence you get a marketing pack with loads of ideas, posters also lots of support from them.

I love the teaching and am earning a far amount but biggest thing is I dont need childcare and can juggle things around

I have taken my children to french classes with both LCF and la Jolie Ronde. I think the course, is very similar in both but I preferred LCF but I think that was just down to a better teacher, unfortunately she stopped teaching so we moved to la Jolie Ronde, we are now moving house so need to find yet another class. Does anyone know of any for preschoolers in the Taunton/ Exeter area?

Also I think that languages will be part of the curriculum might get you more business not less.

My son does La jolie ronde at school at lunchtime he's been doing it for 3 years now and loves it. We hoiday in France a fair bit and he really enjoys being able to speak the language. I prefer LA jolie Ronde his teacher is brilliant (she is French native) before Christmas they did a nativity for the parents ... in French and sang lots of french carols plus she laid on french snacks for the kids and parents.

their site is showing a class in Exeter with this number Tel: 07789 884 054.

Whatever course they do I think its brilliant that my son can get by on holiday and he's only 9
.

I have tried both LA jolie Ronde and LCF but neither seem to have any preschool classes locally. Does anyone even know a french teacher who could help privately? I don't want to stop because I think they will just forget everything they have learnt.
