Embarrassing symptoms due to birth injury. Want to work from home. Please don’t ask about it. I just would like to know what options are available re wfh and people’s experiences. Thank you

I work in university governance and go into office one day a month. We are an online university though and it's not great pay at my level.

I do postgrad tutoring self employed so fully wfh. All my students are international and some based abroad so I have to be available different time zones. I also run a vintage antiques business on Ebay and other sites. I am highly self motivated and organized - not a team worker. Im also in my 80s!.

Sports marketing. I WFH unless I’m visiting a venue.

Lots of nhs admin jobs are wfh
Also public sector local authorities investigating complaints etc.
My sister is a solicitor her secretary ( probably old fashioned term maybe PA is correct now) works from home due to health issues
Unfortunately not sure how well paid these sorts of jobs are .
Agree charities often employ people who wfh as cuts down their costs .
Good luck .

Counselling. To fit completely within my DCs school hours.

Do you do it online or have clients coming to your house? I am aware of things like Betterhelp who do remote counselling options, is it something like that?

Thank you all for your comments. This is helpful. My background is environmental regulation and, previously, related field work (which obviously isn’t an option as I need to be outdoors/ meeting people).
I have a temporary adjustment to work from home but need to think long term. My job requires a lot of concentration and accuracy but since becoming a mum (with a child that doesn’t like sleep) it’s very difficult to perform like before. I’ll look into charity work and other admin roles (before AI makes them obsolete).
I had considered ‘a side hustle’ like eBay/ Etsy but don’t believe I can reliably stay on top of this with little sleep and limitations on where/ when I can go out (on NHS waiting list for a repair).

I work for a large non profit in Finance and can work from home as much or as little as I want, some weeks I wfh 5 days and some weeks it can be wfh 3 or 4 days. Before covid we were fully office based, after covid some departments went back 3 days a week but for us it was completely flexible and we all work pretty well with the flexibility and actually get more work done.

Over the telephone or via Zoom (for now).
