Would you withdraw from a temp role after repeated delays?

I’ve been looking for work for a long time the market has been absolutely dreadful it’s been the most soul destroying experience ever.
Had an interview it’s been a long process for a temp role.
Most temp roles are yes we like you can you start asap.
Positive feedback but no offer as now apparently the person who has the say so is away for a few weeks. The interviewers don’t have the final say so apparently.
Am in limbo and fed up…agency agree this isn’t on.
They have had weeks to sort it as it’s taken an age and now another delay.
Don’t feel like I want to work for them even if they get their act together if this how they treat people.
They are only committing to a short term role not bring me permanently.
My gut says sack it off and keep plowing on which I’m doing.

You can keep looking elsewhere without officially sacking it off. See if you get something else before they come back to you.

Yeah, I just feel so fed up and worn down by the absolute drudge and hell of job seeking and applications.
Thought the end was in sight for a bit of time at least then this happens…

You would surely carry on looking and interviewing right up until you have either started or have a firm start date. That's the nature of temping and contract work.

(If they spend weeks messing around, they cannot expect that anyone they interviewed would still be available weeks later, so don't worry if you find something else in the meantime)

If you need the money, withdrawing now without another job is a but like cutting off your nose to spite your face.
