I'm applying for a job it's asking what experience I have at operating at a management level.

I'm not a manager work in a finance department looking for any inspiration or insight anyone may have.

In the absence of management experience, do you have experience of advising managers?

Engaging stakeholders? Influencing stakeholders? Giving strategic insights at meetings? Data analytics to inform your decision making?

How about things like mentoring, training, supporting someone more junior? Dealing with tricky situations?

Leading on projects, managing a change, leading on audit?

Writing policy? Implementing fraud controls?

Expand on the advice and support you provide in order to meet budget and financial strateg; what corrective action do you advise as part of forecasting, what decisions do you make or influence; if you set budgets, how what you do forms part of the financial strategy and in turn, how that plays into the overall company strategy.

Also include anything you've done to set, implement and manage any policies, processes or procedures and the impact on other areas of the business.

Have you been involved in managing IT or systems? That's a whole area on its own, particularly if it also improves selection or implementation of something like new accounting software.

If you don't manage people directly, are there any aspects of people management that you have been involved in, eg recruitment, onboarding, training, handovers?
