Would you look for new job after a year

I was made redundant a year ago. I got a job quickly and it was going ok for a while I was contracted to a different company. The company started not using contractors anymore so im Back in my new work. There are 2 of us doing the same type of work but all available work went to my colleague as I was working with the other company. I’ve been back a month and there just doesn’t seem to be enough work. I’m thinking of applying for other roles as I don’t feel this role has longevity - plus it has some underhand techniques as people mysteriously disappear all the time and I’ve heard and seen first hand what goes on. I’m concerned I’ve only been here on paper a year. WWYD?

Look for a new role, a year is a good amount of time to know if you like it or not. It's only concerning if this a pattern on your CV.

You have got to look after yourself.

loyality to employer means nothing and I’m truly glad to learn this at 44.

2nd anniversary of employment I’ve received a PIP (which in the unprofessionalism of management) gets me cheers for sticking with a poor supporting management ok to lie last summer with no moral compass, our exclusive pip doesn’t get you the sack employee: wish it did)

As I’ll tell me surviving self with blood pissing out where it shouldn’t be, there are graveyards full of office workers who wished they’d been at work more.
