Gap in employment accidentally missing something out of application

Applied for a job, got the job signed a contract. The application form was very long winded for past employment. I accidentally left a small gap by mistake as at the time I stayed at home with my children, but had a very small stint working in the evenings in a factory for just two hours for roughly 6 months, with a 3 month break as the workplace shut due to covid. It wasn’t for me but wanted to try and contribute to household income at the time. As it was such a small stint I’ve forgotten to add to to new job application form and they’ve just phoned me mentioning there’s a gap they’ve found I’ve not declared that I was employed for a few months and will discuss with HR tomorrow and get back to me. It wasn’t obviously a legit workplace DBS needed etc and I have a new DBS which new job just provided for me. Is this something they could retract the job offer for?

Highly unlikely, as part of safer recruitment, they need to be sure that there are no gaps. If the answer isn't, I was in Belmarsh, and there are charges outstanding, it's just being sure they have what they need. It's really not starting a whole recruitment process over.

Most of the time is covered by Covid shutdown then, surely?

Yes it was, but there issue is I had a small part time job for 5 months which I forgot to mention on application form from 2020.

They might be concerned that you were hiding it because you were sacked or similar reason meaning you don’t want your new employer to contact them. Assuming that’s not the case and you just forgot, then just explain like you did here and it should be fine.

Yes I did mention I handed in my notice once I returned after Covid lockdown and worked my notice period

Should be fine. Jobs that require safe recruitment, like care, working with children, require a complete job history, with gaps explained.

DBS doesn't look at work history...that is completely separate.
