What type of job could I apply for?

I am currently employed in a local authority resource role and am struggling to stay. For several reasons I wish I'd not taken on this job and have only been in it for 2 months, have already cried 3 times, have been spoken to very rudely by the Senior Manager in a group chat (which I called out) and know i cannot stay much longer.

I am nearly 60, earn £36.5k and work full time. Id like to earn around the same, can work 36 hrs but preferably less, dont mind going into work or wfh. Ive been with this employer for 8+ years so the benefits are good, have a 50% pension and can purchase extra leave - i just hate my job!

With these transferable skills/previous roles, what jobs could I apply for to get the same pay grade etc?

Loads of admin/organising
Business office coordination
HR (unqualified but main care home HR person)
Great communicator (except with rude manager!)
Customer service experience
Office manager in different types of business
Good coordination skills
Good all rounder basically
Experience in social care
Experience in mental health and LD services

Any ideas please?
Thanks!

Have they already replaced you in your previous role there?

Hi. The whole LA is going through a change so generally roles have disappeared and new ones are popping up. I want to wait for something inhouse to come along that I can apply for, but am so angry from the treatment I got yesterday that tomorrow would feel too long to wait for! I actually have a toothache where I have gritted my teeth through anger/anxiety at how I was treated. Ridiculous at my age!

I took last week off to give my head a wobble and came back yesterday with a positive outlook to make things work, that lasted until about lunchtime.

I just wanted to have some ideas of what I could do to earn what I do now, all admin roles and similar in my area tend to pay about £5K less than I am on now and, being the only earner in my home, I need to stay at at least £35K to afford everything.

Look at NHS, universities, housing associations and roles like service coordinator, HR advisor, compliance officer, admin manager

With respect the job market is probably the worst it’s been unemployment is running at records levels. You’ve been with your employer 8 years ago this role only couple of months. I wouldn’t be too sure you can find something at that salary very easily.

Ive kind of thought this too - am just keeping my head down and my eye on the internal job board. I dont mind dropping down to the previous salary level as this new role is the next one up but has only given me another £26 pm after tax in my bank. Its not worth the stress.

What is a resource role? What do you do exactly?

I source placements for looked after children (receive referrals, anonymise these so they can be shared), write a positive cover summary of each child, contact in-house and external providers, chase for info, submit forms once placed with financial and payment info, tons of admin and chasing/calls.

Its all alongside children's services so can be very pressured when an emergency comes in, which is fine but not when you get unhelpful and rude comments from your senior manager!
