Can't find anything. Hardly any experience.

Hello, I feel like I'm asking for the impossible but I'm still trying...

I have experience within Customer service/restaurants & lots of Care roles. But I haven't worked since 2022.

I'm finding Indeed etc very difficult this time round, they don't find what I'm asking for. Eg I'll type in Part time & every job comes up as full time, or I'll type in 'Home working or remote' & every job comes up as in the office/shop etc.

If you asked me what I'd like to do then I'd love to get back into care work. I enjoy it so much. However, I have a raft of health problems so I'm looking at something that's mainly sat down/not on my feet.

So I'm looking for part time & working from home to begin with. I'm really, really hoping that I can manage this & then I can look for something out of the home.

I would say I'm willing to do anything but I realise that I have quite strict criteria so I think what I mean is that I'm not going to say 'No' to anything that's part time & home working, I just need to find something & I'll be there!

I did sign up to a couple of those make cash online jobs but I didn't make any money & was spending ages playing games etc & then it would say 'You have earned 1p' or it would just end & I would have to start again.

Am I looking for the impossible?

I've been searching for home working in general as well as admin/customer service/data entry remote jobs.

As others have said, PT WFH jobs are like hens’ teeth. With minimal quals, poor IT skills and no recent work experience, I’m not sure you’re going to shine to prospective employers. :-/

I do honestly think upgrading your qualifications will make a difference - to both your prospects and your confidence. I’m sorry to say this (and it will inevitably offend people) but the pool you’re currently swimming in may not be entirely filled with bright shining stars - in terms of colleagues. Working life may become more enjoyable if you can rise, even just a little, to a level where you’re amongst more educated people. So get some education. I can’t say what, or how, or where - and I realise you may have challenges to navigate. Again, spend a couple of hours on the Mature Study and Retraining board and you’ll see what others have faced and how they’re finding ways through.

You need to make yourself more competitive in the job market - but I’d also say you need to be able to get more fun and fulfilment from working life.

No need for that comment.

TheLOUDNESS I've only just started looking & thinking about returning to work after being too unwell for a while.

I used to get plenty of fun & fulfillment out of my working day (working in care, weather we were educated or not) & hopefully will again. But for now I'm just seeing what I can manage/trying to make some money for a brighter future.
