Royal Mail Xmas Jobs

Ive applied for casual work as a sorter but it's all done through a bot with absolutely no human contact so I cant ask any questions.

I don't think it's zero hours but the bot says they may offer x y z shifts on 12345 days of the week but they aren't obliged to. No annual leave given.

Ideally I only want.part time around 20 hours (if that much is available amd then stay on.do more when I can). Am happy with nights and some/most but not all weekends. I pretty flexible over 24 hrs most days most weeks but I do have a wedding and a job interview/presentation booked in after the potential start date that I need 2 days off to attend.

Does anyone know how it works? Can I refuse shifts as they don't give leave? I can work Xmas no problem as my household is all emergency service workers all scheduled to work Xmas this year, its just these 2 dates and if I'm working nights I'll need maybe 1 shifts off each side (2 shifts per event).

I cant phone or email, I have to speak to a bot with multiple choice options that don't answer my questions of time off/days I cant work.

I could really do with the extra cash but this is a stop gap as I'm looking to get back into my previous industry (i had to leave in the Spring to support a.loved.one through end of life care) but can now return to full time.
Any insights on Royal Mail seasonal.contracts/weekly hours appreciated.

Could you wait and see if offered the job and then mention the commitments?

Yes you will be able to turn a couple of shift down, if your availability is otherwise good it shouldn’t be a problem .
