What are the best remote jobs from home you can do? And where can I find them advertised?

This is too vague really. There are lots of options and places. What do you want to do? What are your skills/experience? What hours do you have available to work with childcare/life/etc?

Loveduppenguin · 07/09/2025 13:13

What are you trained in? It’s not as simple as looking for wfh jobs. My ex was an engineer and could wfh. I wfh and I work for a pharmaceutical company.

twistyizzy · 07/09/2025 13:26

I wfh but you need post grad qual + over 20 years' sector experience to do my job.
You need to specify sector and your skills

bumblebubble23 · 07/09/2025 14:28

Sorry I was short on time, I’m thinking something low skilled really that I can do around my children

That’s still not enough information for anyone to reliably help you.

what kind of work have you done previously?
what skills or qualifications do you have?

Loveduppenguin · 07/09/2025 14:34

When you say around your children do you mean whilst they are in school?

Ilikewinter · 07/09/2025 14:42

Have you tried a Google search?, it will probably direct you to employment agencies with jobs that may fit your criteria

Danikm151 · 07/09/2025 14:44

A lot of jobs advertising wfh and work around children will most likely be scams and/or surveys.
Any job worth you find may require on site training.
For a true wfh job you can’t care for your children and work at the same time unless they are old enough to occupy themselves.

You will need childcare in place or school time only positions.

Low skilled is wide ranging. What have you done before?

I don’t think you’ve really thought enough about this, you need at least some kind of idea about what you could do or what you’re interested in.

I’ve previously worked in schools, based at the council moving to different primary schools to give assessments and support to SEN children, kind of sign post them to relevant training and resources, show didn’t approaches they could try with the child etc then once completed I move onto a different school. I’ve done this for years I have an HLTA qualification to do this. I’m a single parent struggling with school runs etc so I’m just wondering if a different carer option may be better suited.

What age are your dc? What time does school start and finish? Can you use before/after school services?

Thefuture2025 · 07/09/2025 16:06

Local councils are your best bet. Many wfh now and operate flexi time which may help with dc drop offs.

Sticklebricks · 07/09/2025 16:23

You could try https://www.ten2two.org - it only features flexible jobs
