I really hope somone can help me here. So my daughter had twins at the start of the year and her maternity leave is about to run out. She contacted her supervisor at the end of July ( she works for a small business) and explained due to circumstances and financial pressures she would not be returning to work, and could they work out when maternity finishes and what holidays etc she had accrued. The supervisor didn’t reply but my daughter received msgs from other staff members saying they were sorry to hear she was leaving!! Complete break in gdpr from the supervisor. She heard nothing and contacted her again 3 weeks later and she still hasn’t replied. This is causing extreme anxiety for my daughter. Apart from me going and causing a scene what do we do? Please help 🥹

Sounds like it's been poorly handled but is not a Gdpr breach. Has your daughter checked her contract to make sure she does not have to pay back any company maternity pay. Has she officially resigned?

Ring/write to HR/payroll asking for notice pay and annual leave calculations.

If theres no response contact acas.

She is sending her resignation letter tomorrow and she can’t find her contract. She only received statutory maternity pay.
