Injectables training has anyone done this and actually made money?

Hi
I am at a bit of a cross roads with my career, I am a registered Nurse, single parent and looking at ways to earn money that fits in around my young DD. I Have been a bit too reliant on parents for child care up until now and they are understandably exhausted with assisting me whilst I work shifts in a busy acute setting. So, a friend has suggested completing my injectables training and setting up. The training, cost of business set up and building up a client base I know can take time. But has anyone done this successfully, gotten established and managed to leave the NHS and create a working/ lifestyle balance? Advice appreciated x

Are you a prescriber? If not the margins are a lot smaller.

Round our way the two things which would make a lot of money are:

Perimenopause support. Pretty much everyone who I know that has HRT early has had to do this privately and there is a massive gap for this locally. The clinic I use is a 90 minute drive away, although I have online appointments. You would need to be able to prescribe.

Loads more people are using private GPs now and it is almost impossible to get bloods taken privately. I had to do it for my son and it cost £120 and I had to drive more than an hour. That would be a really good niche, and I think that a lot of private gps and clinics would work with you.

Have you looked at expert witness work?

have you thought about related roles such as research nurse or something in clinical trials. study coordinator? If you have any clinical trials units near you, there may be opportunities there too. It's usually a bit more structured and not as intense

I have a friend who's done this, and she's a runaway success. But she's done a massive amount of training. I'm happy to give you her Facebook page if you'd like to msg me.

With respect OP, I’m an AHP and have known many nurses who have left to do aesthetics training. Very few are really successful, even fewer are actually good at it. You couldn’t pay me to let a nurse touch my face - dentist or doctor with maxfax/plastics experience only!
