Is a mid-life career advisor a thing?!

I'm in a job i've been in for 10+ years, and whilst i love what I do, where I work has become an increasingly bad place to work with so many politics, poor leadership, and essentially I find myself stagnant in my role. I'm mid / senior management level, and have done a lot of postgraduate / chartership qualifications as well.

But I just feel this place has totally eroded my confidence to apply for anything new as I feel like i'd be incapable and i'm embarrassed I've been in the same position so long as well.

I'd like to keep doing what I do, but with two kids and a military husband away all the time, I need to be within an hour of home travel-wise for childcare. And living in the countryside this doesn't present a huge amount of opportunity!

So then I consider changing careers - but what on earth too? With no confidence to apply for jobs in what I know, how on earth do i apply for Jobs in something new??

Where do you turn for careers advice, or even start with looking for what to do next?

This needs either serious brainstorming or you just start applying around your 1h perimeter commute and see what you find

Are you after a proper new career or just a change of industry and any job
