How long does it take to set up a company pension for employees as a small company ?

It has been 11 months since my start date and no pension. I know it is breaching pension laws in the UK.
I have already spoken to acas and they say I need to submit a grievance to my employers. Small company of 15 staff.

I chased them a few times over the last couple of months. I just received an update saying they are expecting to get an update from their pension provider in the next few weeks or so.

If the process takes so long then surely auto-enrollment within 3 months of start date is not legally reasonable? How do other small companies do it at the start?

I run a payroll company- with NEST it takes about 10 minutes to set up, and maybe a week for a direct debit to be in place to take the payments.

They are breaking the law? Are all 15 people pensionless? I’d be looking for a new job they clearly don’t have the funds.

no time at all, they can do it through nest, I have done this for my nanny. They will need to back date the contributions to your start date. Are other employees enrolled?

No one enrolled yet. It has been over a year

I would put in an anonymous report about them

When I had a Nanny I set her up on NEST, I can’t remember it taking any time at all. 10 days notice for a direct debit, then you’re good to go.

Employers have to auto-enrol employees into pension schemes until they opt-out, so your employer is breaking the law.

Thank you to everyone for responses. Complaints can't be anonymous and apparently must go to court before ombudsman. Can't afford a lawyer so will have to leave it. Apparently it is not enforced
