Asking for a settlement agreement after work burnout and bullying caused sick leave - anyone has done that?

I have had some ongoing issues with the company where I have worked for in a senior role for the past three years.

I have a disability (declared to HR and confirmed by occupational health).

There has been a series of disability discrimination and bullying/undermining issues that I have documented.

This led me to a burnout and being signed off for depression.

I am about to come back from sick leave and I expect a big show down as I can see that the company is now trying to manage me out and has out of the blue set new, unreasonable targets just before I am due back that I know there is no realistic way that I can achieve.

I have had enough of having my health affected to that extent.

I am planning to lodge an official grievance & take it to an employment tribunal if needed when I return but I wonder if anyone has successfully asked for a settlement, rather than wait for an employer to offer one in this type of circumstances?

I have no interest in staying in the job at this stage as it is so toxic but I worked hard in a difficult environment so I am not prepared to just resign...

My ex managed to get a payout of 6 months full pay in similar circumstances and he wasn't even disabled just stressed

I did. I was being made redundant after mat leave and my job had not been protected and it triggered PND and then I signed off on long term sick
I wrote a very long greivance letter and paid a barrister 500 quid to look over it. He told me to put in every detail about everything, any dates, times, people everything to make it the most impossible thing for them to unravel and investigate. Becuase while they are investigating you will still be employed and paid. He did warm me that if it is a close knit industry it might make it hard for me to get another job.
It took 6 months for them to come to settlement, I pushed back twice and they upped it each time. I got a payout worth 6 months of my wages. Plus the 6 months payments while they investigated.
I got a new job within two months of the settlement payout.
I actually loved that job but their treatment of me after coming back from mat leave was disgusting. It wasnt just the redundancy there were other grievances all around me coming back from mat leave.
I went to town on them and i don't regret it.
Editing to add that I was advised that settlement/tribunal is usually based on how long they think it will take you to get another job. Also, my case was pretty cut and dry, they did everything I said they did. I also had to attend investigation meetings where i was grilled and I took in a folder of stuff. My greivance letter was 5 typed pages long and had multiple accusations over a period of time.

My letter was about 30 pages! Took me ages but quite cathartic to write.

It seems that this thread rather than being informative has taken an unpleasant tone.

So I am not going to entertain the people who it seems are trying to 'catch me out' scrutinising other threads and building their own story.

I have a long term mental health condition and I don't have to justify or explain that to anyone.

I did not work while I was off sick but my employer knows full well I am also self employed. Again nothing to see here...

I did request permanent home working but my employer failed to follow up on my official request. Their failure, not mine.

If the people who have posted these latest comments truly work in HR then I truly feel sorry for any staff member who has to deal with you.

Thank you to everyone else who posted useful advice and supported me while I was struggling and it was very much appreciated.
