I'm about to finish a return to Nursing course and I feel like I've made a mistake :( I've spent quite alot of money on it and everyone is expecting me to complete it I feel like a failure I just don't think I can do it I'm almost done with just a couple of weeks left. I just feel like I've failed 😭

Is it the course itself that you've found hard, or the nursing environment? Where is your placement? Do you have a job lined up?

I did RtP 10 years ago and my tutor was really hard work but I enjoyed my job after I got my PIN back. I had to leave again for caring responsibilities, but if I went back I don't know if I'd do the RtP or test of competency route.

I bet it probably does feel overwhelming right now but can you zoom out & look at what the course will give you?
Things like:
Getting your PIN back
Freedom to work within the NHS or a private organisation or a charity
Freedom to choose a job that suits you (setting, hours, shifts or 9-5)
Freedom to choose a job that's the right pace for you (A&E or palliative care/community).
Ability to choose how many hours you work (full, part time or bank)
Earning potential
Ability to work in a team or more independently
Ability to work face to face or remotely or a hybrid
Support with CPD to keep up to date & to keep your interest
I would say you have some choice re the level of responsibility you take on - it doesn't have to be fast paced hospital work.

Good luck, OP. Once you're over this bumpy part & you get settled in a nice team, the whole thing will probably look quite different.
