Hi, I'm being made redundant from my current job which involves MH training for external clients. I work for a charity. It was my first charity job and I've been there 3 years. I have qualifications in HRM, L&D, coaching and teaching.
I'm obviously looking for other jobs and I saw one as an L&D advisor for a charity I've been interested in for a while - a small disability charity with less than 200 staff.
The problem I have is that whilst I got my level 5 L&D diploma 2 years ago, I haven't really used it and I've forgotten pretty much everything (I still have my essays though). So I'm doubting whether or not I'm 'good enough' as I've never done an L&D job before and I worry I'll be completely clueless!
I have been trying to think about relevant experience I have - I've done TNAs with external clients looking for MH training, I've designed and delivered zoom and face to face training, I've commissioned training providers to deliver training and design e-learning for us so I had some input into how these looked. I have admin permissions for my current employers LMS although I rarely use it and I'm far from an expert. I've got some experience, very recently, of trying to create some elearning myself on canva and genially. As for the apprenticeship levy, I don't really understand that or how to arrange apprenticeships.
Am I a hopeless case or is it worth a shot applying? If you work in L&D can you give me some realistic advice and maybe let me know what they might ask if I got an interview?
