What would you do?

I started a job after Easter holidays, so less than a month just, working in a school as a PT Teaching Assistant. The school isn't the right fit for me for a few reasons.
What would you put for reason for wanting to leave on other application forms?
Thank you

Do you types of people just prowl forums looking for posts where you can post your self-righteous attitude 🤣🤣 does it make you feel better 🤣🤣

Some people have a habit of doing that, yes.

Anyway, maybe you could say that you took the job as a stop-gap really, while you were waiting for the right role to come up?

I've noticed that lots on here.

Thank you.

Yes they have grasped on the latter merely because I commented to someone suggesting that.
My original question does stand as to what to put the reason why. I wasn't aware you could leave it off, naive of me absolutely.
As for the self-righteous ones who have nothing of substance to add, particularly Thestudio81's comment (which I've not been able to see since it's been deleted, and can only guess they are assuming the worse 🤣, which I can wholeheartedly assure you you are wayyy of the mark. I don't like the Head of the school and have been mislead at the interview as to what the role would entail!)
Thank you for the rest of you that have commented, and I won't be leaving it off my CV or applications. As for wanting to work in another school, yes, but I'm also looking at non-school roles.

Ahh that's what I thought.

Whatever you go on to in your next role I hope you find a great job that's more suitable. I've felt mislead when starting a new job, not a nice feeling at all.

Thank you, and thank you for your reply.
It's so disheartening isn't it.

As a recruiter, I would not be impressed by someone taking a job as a TA just as a “stop gap” until something better came along.

I would know the process, time and money involved in recruitment and bringing on board a TA.

Be careful leaving it off some jobs check NI and tax records.

Go for a job with more hours and say you needed more hours. Keep it simple.

Having also been a recruiter, I have never had anything to do with the education sector (but I can imagine that working in a school is the pits and wouldn't blame anyone for leaving!). I would think that anyone taking a temporary job as a filler was preferable to being unemployed, and showed determination and initiative.

Not when involving children and education.

taking a stop gap with the specific intention of moving on in a very short period of time ie weeks, would indeed be looked upon very negatively if the op does apply next to a school.

before anyone joins a school… enhanced DBS check, and all references checked, and basically a lot of time invested.

and then the children get used to a TA and suddenly after few weeks…. Poof, they’re gone

It is such hard work and the pay is absolutely rubbish. Harder when the role is fluffed up too and your put with a class where over 3/4 have varying needs. Had I known this I would not have taken the job - I was led to believe it was a general TA role working all over the school. And I'm a SEN parent myself so have the empathy and understanding that it's not the children's fault. The education sector needs a complete overhaul.
Think I'll stay till the end of the school year and then hand my notice in.
