Work - Risk assessment for health problems - what does this entail?

Hello

I have asked to have a meeting today with HR regarding my health. I have been suffering from a number of things which are affecting the ability to do my work to a certain extent - the basics are fine but they have been piling on lots of extra things that I just can’t manage. It has been affecting my health adversely. I had a FWR but they have withdrawn it without discussing it.

I spoke to Acas who said they were in danger of being in breach of the 2010 equality act as they are refusing to take my health seriously. They have suggested doing a risk assessment.

I just wondered what the risk assessment would entail?

Many thanks

A risk assessment is a method of examining how aspects of work may impact on health. The exact methods vary depending on employers and health conditions.

The 2010 Equality Act relates (in this situation) to disability, not health in general. Do you have a disability?

It's not really possible to provide much meaningful advice without information about why you are struggling.

What di you mean you had a FWR and they withdrew it? Was it an official request which was formally agreed to then withdrawn?

They haven't been doing things by the book but there is a new HR person who now wants to make sure proper procedures are followed.

My FW arrangement is an example. It was removed without discussion or agreemeent. I tried to fight this but was told they had "told me all along they could withdraw it at any time" but this is not in writing.

She has suggested the risk assessment.

Flexible working request.
