How would you describe this sort of behaviour?

  1. Boss would act like you asking a simple question is a big deal. Constant huffing and puffing. Rolling eyes.
  2. Making you (and only you) put in a written application to work remotely on Christmas Eve?
  3. Making “jokes” like “oh not you
  4. Asking you to swap to a different taxi from his own
  5. Giving menial and made up tasks as punishment for being ill or taking annual leave or attending a course.

Thank you. Just wondering how other people would describe it

I don't understand the taxi thing

We were going to a work function and the team were ordering taxies. I was allocated to my boss’ taxi, but as I tried to get into the taxi he asked someone else to come instead of me

Unless it is discrimination they are just being awkward.

Nonsense. Bullying and harassment in the work place doesn't have to be as a result of discrimination. Keep a note of all incidents and ask HR for the grievance procedure

David Brent??

EmmaMaria · 12/02/2025 18:50

How anyone else describes it is irrelevant. What do you describe it as and do you intend to do anything about it? And is there another side to the story (because if you wish to complain, there will be another side to the story, and you should be prepared for that)?

LlynTegid · 12/02/2025 18:50

Probably bullying or harassment, especially the ones you describe as punishment.

An example of someone who should never manage people.
