Hello fellow Mums
I am seeking your advice and would appreciate any thoughts / pointers / suggestions!
I work for a big consulting company and I have a risk/regulatory/chief of staff experience. Although I'm 4 days a week, I am client facing and the hours are long and I'm needing to work evenings and weekends. I'm also a parent of a young child. My partner has an intense full time job.
I would really appreciate some advice on making a move from where I am now towards a more flexible Chief of Staff or similar role (ideally non external client facing given the particular demands that come with that), such that I can still have a career and carry forward what I have tried so hard to build to some extent, but also be there for my child as a Mum, especially when they need me; pick ups; and more easily deal with emergency situations. Surely this is possible, it just does not feel that way.
